Tracking with My K-Chart
Installing Epic brought many positive changes to Kadlec, including a new online patient
portal called My K-Chart. Maintaining good health is important to people around the clock,
not just during business hours. Using My K-Chart, Kadlec Clinic patients can keep much
better track of medical records via a secure, personalized Internet connection any time of
the day. Among other things, with the no-cost My K-Chart, Kadlec Clinic patients can:
• Review their health history and medications
• Communicate with a doctor’s office
• Schedule medical appointments
• Access test results
• Request prescription renewals
• View recent clinic visits
• Find trusted health information resources
Patients who request one are given a My K-Chart activation code during a clinic visit.
Kadlec has taken great care to ensure health information is kept private and secure.
Access is controlled through activation codes, personal ID numbers and passwords.
And My K-Chart uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to
automatically encrypt any interactions with My K-Chart. Unlike conventional email, all
My K-Chart messaging is done while patients are securely logged into Kadlec’s website.
