Fun Stuff
Kadlec’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit celebrated its 30th anniversary
with a reunion
for NICU Babies and family members at the Richland Community Center. More than 8,500
fragile newborns have been treated at Kadlec over the past three decades.
Established in Spring 2003,
Kadlec’s Volunteer Music Program
creates a calm and
uplifting experience for patients, visitors and employees in the main lobby and Critical
Care Unit waiting area. “We believe soothing music promotes healing and wellness,” says
Meg Fallows, Kadlec volunteer coordinator. “And we are always adding to our list of
interested musicians of all ages.” Performers can pick a block of time between 9 a.m. and
6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Performances can be recurring or one-time only. For more
information, call (509) 942-2248.
“I am excited about Kadlec’s
expanding ability to provide
more healthcare services locally
so people don’t need to leave
the Tri-Cities. Also, new locations
will help patients get quality
care easily in all parts of the
Tri-Cities. Kadlec’s continued
effort to offer services to the
surrounding region is
very worthwhile to overall
community health.”
